Kerala is a veryspecial place not only in respect of beauty but also in terms of culture andfestivals. There are many Kerala tours packages that not only offersiteseeing but also to witness the cultural programs and festivals in Kerala.To name a few, Kerala boat race, Attukal Pongala festival, Thrissur Pooramfestival, etc. are some of the very famous events which are visited by touristsfrom far off places.

Kerala Boat race orVallamkali is held in the month of August. Fierce races and water carnivalserupt every year on the backwaters of Kerala. It’s a dramatic spectacle towatch all the boatsmen acting in unison and the immense team spirit among them.They hold the audiences spell bound and amazed.

Attukal Pongalafestival is the only temple festival in the world where hundreds of womenassemble together to cook offer the pudding to the goddess in the Attukaltemple.

The brightest and themost spectacular festival in Kerala is the Thrissur Pooram festival. It iscelebrated in the month of Medom ie during the months of April and May. Thisfestival is a grand assembly of Gods and Goddesses in and around Thrissur. Thefestival takes place in the Vadakumnathan temple premises where caparisonedelephants are accompanied by grand assemblies of Chenda mela and pancha vadyam(drums and other instruments). The elephants look majestic and the whole setupis a treat to watch. The processions and rituals go on continuously for 36hours without stopping. A spectacular show of fireworks takes place during thisfestival.
