How old do you stop your child from having afternoon naps? I was told by a parent to limit a child's nap time to 1 hr - 1 1/2 hrs so that the child would sleep earlier at night, whilst another parent informed that a child should stop having afternoon naps by 5 years old.
I have a 4 year old son and would love to hear comments from other mums.

My 2 year old daughter sometimes naps for an hour, sometimes up to three hours! But she still sleeps late at night – on average 11-ish pm! But even if she doesn’t nap in the afternoon, the earliest she goes to bed is at 10pm. It’s so hard to make her sleep earlier than that even when lights off!

Yeah, my daughters also like that. How long did they take a nap in the afternoon, they still will be sleeping late at night. The most early at 10 pm.
It very hard to persuade children to go to bed as early as 9.00 pm.
In my opinion, may be taking nap in the afternoon can be stopped when the children reaching 6 years of age. Maybe, we can also ask the opinion from others too.

Congratulations on having one of the most sophisticated phorums I've came across in some time! Its just incredible how much you can take away from something simply because of how visually beautiful it is. Youve put together a great phorum space great graphics, videos, layout. www.malaysianmotherhood.com is definitely a must-see phorum!
