Nicole, I still have 6 frozen embryos. Are you doing this cycle at the same clinic?

Had my ultrasound today and we are having TWINS!! We saw two sacs, one definitely has a yolk sac, the other one we all thought we saw the yolk sac as well. We should be able to see better at the next ultrasound.

Kittykat, hope your ET went well. Sending sticky vibes your way!

Hi Nicole,
I agree with charlotte, a good donor is one who has given birth or success before in donation. Otherwise will need to choose one that is less than 30 yr. That what my doctor told me. In my case my donor has not donated before and I depend on my doctor. He access the donor's profile and said its ok. He was right cos I m now pregnant with triplet. ........I may be the first egg recipient with triplet. I cant believe it. Haha. I thank everybody who has help me in anyway.
So. if you cannot decide ..let doctor decide for u.

Hi Charlotte
Congratulation on your twins. It may be a triplet cos your bhcg is too high 1000+. My bhcg at 8 days after ET was 140 and was a triplet. I wish u well.

Hi wonderbaby23,
I did try to get a donor myself. Its was not easy to get a donor cos I din have connection. So I leave it to the doctor.
Happy searching and hope u find a good one.

Thanks Charlotte, i got your baby dust ;)

Done D5 transfer and only 2 out of 4 embryos survived to this stage. Had my 1st blood test on 9th day and it's BFP. my hcg reading is 498. 2nd blood test done 2 days later and the reading shot up to 1226. 1st ultrasound done on 28/3 and it's twins. Saw the 2 sacs but doc said need to wait till next week to see their heartbeats. Charlotte, i understand your feeling when saw them on the screen :)

Hi Wonderbaby and Nicole,

My clinic's coordinator helped me to find the donor through an agency. The first thing they will do is to match the blood group between your spouse and yourself with the donor. Once the donor has been identified, their photo will be forwarded to you for selection. A series of test will be performed on the donor to make sure that they can be a donor. Your dear hubby will need to go to the clinic for sperm collection on the day of eggs retrieval. My donor is 24 years old, post graduates and not pregnant before. She managed to produce 13 eggs of which 12 were fertilised (4 G1, 5 G2 and 3 G3).

I was on FET as the timing of period between the donor and myself was different. I read somewhere that the chances of FET is somehow 1/3 lower than fresh ET. However, after ET/FET, no one will know whether the embryos will continue to grow and implant. This is the drastic 2WW. Bear in mind that, the grading of embryos are based on their apperance on D3 and even the embryologist will not know which can make it to implantation. For e.g., for my D5 transfer, 2 G1 and 2 G2 frozen embryos were thawed and only 1 each (1 G1 and 1 G2) managed to reach blastocyst stage.

All the best to both of you on your selection ya :) and sprinkle lots baby dust to you :)

Kittykat,

Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you. Those are very high betas, and I'm sure the beans you have snuggled in there are strong and healthy.
I am now at 9 weeks and just had my ultrasound last Friday. Baby A's heartbeat was measuring 174 and Baby B at 183. Thought they were a bit on the high side but the sonographer said that this is normal for the gestational age and will decrease as the babies get bigger.

Has your morning sickness kick in? I felt awful around Week 6 with not much of an appetite, and lost a little bit of weight. But I guess I am getting quite used to feeline a little queasy now and then, and try to eat in between these queasy moments.

So keep us updated whenever you can

Cheerin,

Dr Wong is at Sunfert of Sunway Medical Centre. Good luck to you.

Hi cheerin,

Mine ivf with donor eggs was by fresh transfer.
I did it at Metro ivf with Dr Tee. I remembered he had to adjust my cycle to match with my donor and he made my last cycle longer by 3 weeks using OCP.

Having triplet is exciting initially ( or as u said a gift) but now I realized there is risk especially early delivery. I have to give up my work and a lot of my daily routine....and most of the time just lie in bed.
I hope i can reach 36weeks which is what doc aimed

Good luck to u

Hi Charlotte, susulin, isharin.
Thanks for sharing.
I m beginning to think that after repeated failure, its better to use donor egg cos its cost saving in long term. 20% success compare with 70% with donor.
Some more it can save the stress of repeated failure.
