Hi all,

I oso would like to recommend a fertility centre to u, Metro IVF. Their successful rates are quite good as I got pregnant in 3 attempts out of 4. I'm now carrying a twins pregnancy after my last ivf attempt in April this year.

I dunno other centers but i think Metro is quite good, in term of their services, success rates and pricing.

All the best to those who are trying for baby. Do have faith and never give up :)

Hi eleanor,

Congratulation, 3 successful ivf out of 4. Thats 75% success. Very good. Dont mind I ask; How old r you? Why is your doc say u need IVF?

I have try to get pregnant for 8 years. My doc ask me to do IVF because my husband sperm is low quality. I ve postpone IVF for sometime. Now I am getting afraid cos I m reaching 40

hi lucywhite,

i was still young while having my first ivf treatment, i was 26 then. The forth was done early this year and i am 31. My problem is PCOS and husband with poor sperm. All my cycles were done with ICSI.

i think better try ur ivf cycle as soon as possible because my doctor oso advised us to try as soon as possible before i'm aging.

all the best to u :)

Hi Eleanor, You r very lucky have 3 successful IVF out of 4. And with one twin, mean that u have 4 IVF babies. May be u lucky to have a good doc who advice u early and save u many repeat cycle. My doc also told me that I should not wait.

Its still a fortune to spend on four cycle for your four babies. Can I ask, did u try to concieve normally after u have one successful IVF? Or at least clomid or IUI cycle.

Thank for your sharing, its motivating.

Hi lucywhite

i am glad that sharing of my experience does help to motivate you :)

i tried for more than one year after having my first baby, but it dint work. then we followed doctor's advice to proceed with another ivf cycle. i had 2 clomid cycles and 2 iui cycles before trying ivf. i also experienced many failures before having my first baby, luckily my doc always stand by me and encourage us to keep trying.

u should not wait any longer, should have ur ivf treatment done as soon as possible. good luck :)

Hi, I'm planning to do IVF by end of the year. What is the estimation cost for the IVF? somebody recommend me to look for Dr Mak at Sunfert. He got a clinic at Kuchai Lama. Anyone see him before? I heard from here and somebody recommend Dr Wong.

Hi eleanor,

I m new here and after hearing your success I feel I have to do. I m having been trying for 3 years to get a baby. I m 26 from Klang. Doc said Its because of my hb very poor sperm and I need IVF. My cousin had a successful IVF with dr Tee last year and keep on asking me to try IVF. But I just cannot push myself to start IVF because I still think I m young and can still get pregnant.

May I ask, what make you have the courage to start your first IVF. I need encouragement. Thank

Hi Bunnie,

Well, i had 2 failed IUI cycles before proceeding to IVF. If you ask me, i would say that it was the strong desire for our own child that make me wanna try IVF. I was so disappointed after the 2 IUI cycles and was a bit despair. IVF was the last hope for me. Somemore i got pressure from husband's family, so...

u are afraid of it because u dunno wat will happen next and do not what to do. I think may be u should talk to the doctor or the embryologist or even ur cousin who can give u a clear picture of IVF treatment. After you have gone through it, u will feel like "ah, it's not big deal', hehe.

well, dun force urself. If you feel that u havent got ready, then dun force urself to start the treatment. Because i believe that "faith" is one of the key of success in IVF. U hv to believe that you will make it. All the best to u :)

Hi eleanor,

Thank 4 sharing and encouragement. I hav just seen Dr Tee to consult him & do IVF treatment. Instead he suggest that I do IUI first...1 or 2 cycles. He said I m still young & I still hav time and the 2 cycles will cost me only 3 months. He was not keen to do IVF for me when he found that my tube ar ok. I feel Dr Tee is very patient and plan what is best for each ppl.

Look like 3 months will not make much different to me

Hi eleanor, Hi All

I did my first IUI in November.....got 2 eggs but menses come 16 days later and was disappointed.

Last month I started my second IUI....I was given injection on alternate day but eggs were not growing well after 5 injections. Doctor increase my injection to be everyday for 6 days.

But now I was told to have 22 eggs and I need to cancel my IUI or convert to IVF. The reason I cannot continue with my IUI is cos I may later have OHHS. I m undecided.

Does anyone have experience of conversion from IUI to IVF and get pregnant?

Hi Bunnie,

First of all, I would like to congratulate you for having 22 eggs because I was told that I might not have enough good eggs for fertilisation when I visited my doctor last week. Since you already have 22 eggs. I think you should follow the doctor advice and trust your doctor experience. I would like to wish you a happy pregnancy in advance

Hi Grace76,

Thank u for your good advice. I feel the same too and follow my doctor advice….will convert my IUI to IVF. Doctor said I need to take additional injection, Cetrotite that will prevent my eggs ripening too early. Now I have 2 inj. Per day.

I heard one way to increase number of good eggs is to increase the drug dose. My doctor did that when my eggs were not growing after 5 doses. Did your doctor do that last week visit?

I wish a good egg growth and success.

Hi Ping Ping,

Thank u for asking...I m really happy to share.

My bhcg was 56 (8pet) then 254 (12pet)........so its BFP!!

But then 6 days after ET, I was admitted for ohhs for 3 days and given drips ( as predicted by doctor). He said my ohhs was mild.

My ohhs was really uncomfortable; tummy pain, chest felt stuck, breast pain and poor appetite. On the day of discharge I got the most comforting news.....bhcg 56.

Now waiting to see the sac....and also the number.

I wish the best to u if u are also doing ivf

Carmen2012,

I just had my first IVF cycle at Alpha. My egg retrieval was done by Dr. Yew but for the rest my doctor was Dr. Lee. He is definitely more open to answer questions and is more personal. Dr. Lee on the otherhand is a bit full of himself and treats his patients like chicken in a broiler farm--as if he's saying "your job is to produce eggs! not to talk or ask questions!" Even if he treats you like chicken number XXX, I guess it's okay if the results are good. If the results are bad, I bet he loses business.

Carmen2012,

I seconded flowerbaby. I had experience with both Dr Colin & Dr Leong when both still at TMC. Dr Leong is somesort like Dr Colin apperentice. Dr Colin used to be very famous because his sucess rate is high. However he is very robotic. Maybe that is his personality. Unfortunately it was a chemical pregnancy for me, IVF under Dr Colin.

Dr Leong handled my subsequent FET because Dr Colin too busy. I must say he is friendlier, give more information & feedback. It was BFP for me. My baby now 4 MO. First we doubt Dr Leong also as he is so young, but now, we know we had the right doctor.

STRONGLY NOT recommended Dr Tee in Metro Klang due to unreasonable charges from him!!!!!

I have done one fail IUI in Metro Klang, I supposed Dr Tee to do the IUI for me on that day but it turn out to be another dont know what DR in metro as I was told Dr tee was busy....I am so fed up as I paid expensive charges for the IUI process comparing to others hospital like Sunway Fertility....

I was so careless for not comparing the price with others hospital before i started my IUI process in Metro Hospital in Klang... Other hospital like Sunway..KL fertility..charges about 50% lower than Metro if the IUI process is done by taking CLOMID from day 3 to day 7 .......

I called Metro to get the refund on the overcharges but Dr Tee offered me 50% discount on my next IUI process by taking clomid + injection without refund... I am so fed up with him after I know that he is actually OVERCHARGE his patients!!! I would NEVER go back to him even though 50% discount!!

So guys out there, please ask clearly about the charges during the consultation and please be WISE enough to do the price comparison with others DR in Sunway..KL fertility.... before you go to METRO KLANG!!!!

Now I fully understand why the comment towards DR TEE is MONEY FACE in this forum...!!!!
