hai, i am currently seeing doc Mak , but, we are thinking of changing Doc to Damansara Specialist, since the labour cost more or lest the same either in DS or SJMC, and DS is more convenient for us, is there any O&B can recommend me in Damansara Specialist? thanks first!!!

Hi OPE,

Hope I am not too late in replying you. You can try Dr Neoh at DSH. I found him quite good.

Good luck!

Just to share my experience. When I conceived my first child, I was with Dr Suzana Huam from DSH because it's near my home. However, I miscarried, and Dr Huam did a D&C. About 1 mth later, I bled AAA LOOTTT to the extent the I almost had to have blood transfusion. Turned out the D&C did not remove all remnants. V bad experience for me, wldn't recommend anyone to see her.

When I conceived again, I asked everyone I know for a a really good gynae. 3 docs are highly recommended:
Dr Raman FMGC (new clinic in Jaya 33)
Dr Jason Lim, Sunway Medical
Dr Jean Woo, Gleneagles

Hi gals,

I 28weeks pregnant now, and i start seeing Dr Paul Ng @ Pantai Kuala Lumpur since i 11weeks pregnant.

He is a very friendly, gentle and also a good listener to all your question. He will give his personal mobile number for you to contact him if you have any problem, and he will reply you immediately even is Sunday or Public holiday. His clinic hours there is from Mon-Sat, is a good news to most of the working mommy. Further more i think his nurse make a very good arrangement on the appointment, you don't have to worried about the waiting time as the most longer time i waiting is only 15mins!!! And the charges are reasonable.

Do PM me if you need his clinic number.

XOXO

hi, i'm a new parents from kl / cheras,
juz wish anyone can recommend me a good patient doctor for my baby girl? She will be going to jab by this 2 days,
before this we consult dr.chung from taman pertama cheras there, he is not patient on anything, and talk a lot of nonsense, Of course i still follow his instruction coz the thing he said is correct, jus not patient only.

My friend introduce me to consult Dr.Khoo (KB CHILD SPECIALIST CLINIC) at old klang road.
anyone have experience with this dr.khoo?

or anyone can recommend me dr who can patient with my girl? I just request the doctor to be patient / gentle to children. As long as the fees are reasonable, i don't mind.

Hi,

This is my first pregnancy, I have been relying so much on internet to google recommendations instead of asking friends (as most of people advise not to talk about it during the 1st 3 months of pregnancy!).
My regret now is getting to excited/nervous/impatient to see a doctor with good recommendation from forums without checking the charges upfront!

I went to Damansara Specialist to look for Dr. Guna as many commented he is a good gynae and reasonable in pricing.

Just not sure if the charges is normal because I was shocked to see the bill total amount RM309.00
  • Consultation (less than 10mins) - RM150.00
  • Procedure (to scan only) - RM120.00
  • Admission/ Registration - RM15.00
  • Pharmacy (one bottle of duphalac) - RM24.00

Anyone can tell me what is the charges usually?

Hi bluberry,

I went to see Dr Guna (Damansara Specialist Centre) for the first time on Nov 5, 2011. I was also shocked by his charges.

Consultation (less than 10 min) RM180
Ultrasound (no printed film given, just see and remember in your mind) RM150
Medical Record Service RM5
TOTAL RM335

I understand most doctors charge more on the patient first visit. But personally, his charges is abit too high for me. No doubt he is a kind and experienced doctor, especially for complicated medical cases. Also, his queue is very long. So, I am planning to see another doctor now.

If you have changed doctor since then, may I know which doctor are you with now?
